About Us

HiCenter has been promoting tech ventures in Haifa for the past 15 years.
HiCenter was established in 2008, as an entity supported by the Innovation Authority (then the Chief Scientist’s Office) to invest in seed-stage tech companies, by the Haifa Economic Corporation (HEC) and the Haifa Municipality.

Over the years, HiCenter has expanded its activities to address the diverse needs of entrepreneurs and startups in Haifa, with a focus on fostering a supportive environment for innovation and promoting investments. To achieve this, HiCenter offers a range of business development services, including connections to strategic partnerships and investors, and assistance in overcoming growth challenges unique to the startup world.

HiFund enables investors to play an active role in the success of these companies, with the flexibility to tailor investments according to individual needs and preferences. Supported by an experienced team with in-depth knowledge of entrepreneurship and investment, HiFund offers professional guidance, market analysis tools, and networking opportunities with entrepreneurs and industry experts.

The goal is to create a supportive environment where investors can identify and pursue promising investments while receiving ongoing support throughout the process. This approach ensures alignment with their risk profiles and financial goals, all in compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.

A unique growth program designed for technology companies across various sectors, offering access to cutting-edge infrastructure and resources combined with comprehensive professional support.

The program specializes in supporting companies in key technological fields, including FoodTech, Digital Health, AI, Medical Devices, and Business Insights. With a duration of 12-18 months, the program is tailored for technological ventures that are post-proof of concept (POC), have strong interdisciplinary teams, and have secured initial funding.

Its mission is to foster the development of innovative solutions and position participating companies as leaders in their respective industries.

Since its establishment in 2020, the program has successfully launched six cohorts, supporting 67 groundbreaking tech startups. Collectively, these companies have raised over 500 million ILS during their participation, demonstrating the immense value and potential offered by the program’s professional guidance and unique resources.

The Israeli National Center of Blue Economy and Innovation is dedicated to addressing global challenges in the marine realm, and leading Israel’s Blue Tech sector. Their vision is clear: they’re aiming to spearhead a tech-driven entrepreneurial community that prioritizes environmental sustainability and economic growth. As a vital hub for Blue Tech start-ups, we provide essential support and resources, fostering innovation and driving Israel’s prominence in this field. The National Center invests capital in startups and assists in securing funding. Through strategic partnerships both locally and globally, the organization showcases Israeli technology. It collaborates with governments, industries, investors, and academia to transfer know-how from academia and the industry, thus facilitating its commercialization.

Located in Haifa – the country’s Blue Economy capital – the National Center is at the heart of Israel’s marine innovation scene, surrounded by ports, universities, and maritime institutes, driving entrepreneurial activity nationwide.
Established in 2022, the center was born out of Israel’s commitment to sustainable ocean management, following the adoption of the Blue Economy strategy in 2018.
